Since the last Newsletter there have been a few events at and for the club. Firstly the AGM saw Dave Barrett step down as President and myself elected to the position. A new Committee was also elected …. Dave and Lyn Barrett were nominated for and a motion passed for LIFE MEMBERSHIP for them both for their long service to the club.
The Annual Spring Exhibition followed a month after the AGM…. we were entertained by the Black Chooks Sunday morning.
I wish to thank all members who worked tirelessly during the Busy Bee, accepting and setting up the exhibits, catering for Friday night or Stewarding in rooms. Saturday and Sunday saw a mammoth effort from so many people Stewarding for our displays, selling Raffle Tickets or working on the BBQ but believe the busiest area was the kitchen where the ladies worked non-stop making and selling cups of tea or coffee together with a cake. Thankyou every member for your efforts over this period. It is greatly appreciated by your club.
