Patchwork Social Group

  • Monday 10:00 am-2:00 pm

I joined Liddelow Homestead in the year 2000 as a patchwork beginner. We were in the old building and our room was full of 12 of us and our machines.   In our second year, we were invited to join the sewing group in the JW Room, and we have been there ever since.

We are a group of ladies of all ages who all love patchwork. Our ladies do patchwork, embroidery, appliqué, and at times, a couple of our ladies knit and crochet. We do machine sewing and hand sewing, depending on our projects.

The times for our Monday group are from around 9.30am to 2pm. We have morning tea supplied as we all pay a term fee towards our room rent, and towards tea and coffee. We bring our own lunches and really enjoy the company of the ladies.

There is always someone in the group to offer advice and give a helping hand, if we need assistance on our projects. I have been Group Leader of our group for 18 years, and I love my patchwork as much today, as when I first started in 2000.
