What a mixed start to the Christmas/New Year period 2020 and early 2021 with yet again disruptions due to Covid. But we have survived and come this far without any major problems, so we can move forward.
The Monday art class has a new teacher, David Giles, who some of the Thursday art group run by Lucy are familiar with, he fits in well. Sadly we said goodbye to Carol Joy, who will now be in, or near Katanning. We wish her well and we say many, many thanks for her time working with us.
We have two new pottery classes also so I hear, and they are proving very popular. A warm Liddelow welcome Carolyn Warren- Lanford who is tutoring Monday nights, and Tuesday mornings. Also a welcome to Benita Peters who has also joined us with some novel crafts every Monday morning in the Hicks Room with her Upcycle and Recycle sessions.
We have been offered exhibition space at Thornlie Shopping Centre from 3/5/21 -7/5/21 which will be beneficial to the club as it is the week prior to Mothers Day.
Also our open day is to be held on Saturday March 27th 10am-4pm . This will give us an opportunity to display our arts and crafts and sell some, also an opportunity to promote our club in many ways. Our usual Saturday classes will be held on that day which will serve as a demonstration model for the public as to what some of our classes do. Keep on crafting.
